Government offices in Kuwait shut for Eid

KUWAIT CITY, May 20: The Civil Service Commission announced Wednesday the suspension of work across all ministries, government entities, public authorities and institutions from Tuesday, May 26, until Sunday, May 31, on Arafat Day and Eid Al-Adha. In a press statement, the commission said the official holiday will run from Tuesday to Friday (May 26-29), while Saturday and Sunday (May 30-31) will be designated as rest days, with official working hours resuming on Monday, June 1. Entities with a special working nature will determine their own holiday schedules in coordination with their respective authorities in accordance with public interest, it added. (KUNA)
