KUWAIT CITY, May 24: The Good Shepherds Cultural & Social Welfare Association of Kuwait, in collaboration with Metro Medical Group, organized a community medical camp on May 22, 2026, in Salmiya at the Metro Clinic branch in Salmiya block 3 as part of ongoing efforts to promote preventive healthcare and wellness awareness among residents.
A large number of the Goan community, members and volunteers in Kuwait attended this humanitarian initiative and took proactive steps toward maintaining their health and well-being through early detection and medical guidance. The medical camp provided doctor consultations and basic health screenings for community members. Available services included consultations in general practice, internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics and ophthalmology. The event also offered several medical tests and screenings, including fasting blood sugar checks, blood pressure monitoring, total cholesterol testing and eye screening services.
The President of Good Shepherds Cultural & Social Welfare Association, Mr. Salvador D’Silva, warmly welcomed the special guests including Rabin Gonsalves, Ross Vaz, Reyna Vaz, and John Fernandes, along with representatives from Metro Medical Group including Basheer Batha, Jisha Varghese, and Litty Sabu.
During the official function, Mr. Salvador D’Silva presented a memento to Metro Medical Group as a token of love and appreciation for their immense support, cooperation, and partnership in organizing the medical camp.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Vice-President of Good Shepherds Cultural & Social Welfare Association, Manuel Rodrigues, who expressed gratitude to the medical team, volunteers, guests, sponsors, and all participants for contributing towards the success of the initiative.
