KUWAIT CITY, Nov 8: The race for a place in the Premier Volleyball League final begins today as the four semifinalists take to the court in the 2025-2026 season's Golden Square at the Kuwait Volleyball Association Hall in Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex.

Kuwait Club faces Sulaibikhat at 5:00 pm, while Qadsia meets Kazma in the second semifinal at 7:00 pm, with both matches carrying high stakes as the teams seek to book their places in the title decider.

The preliminary stage ended last week with Kuwait Club topping the standings, followed by Qadsia, Kazma and Sulaibikhat. Under the competition format, the leaders face the fourth-placed team, while the runners-up take on the third-placed side.

Defending champion Kuwait Club will start its semifinal against Sulaibikhat as favorites, having demonstrated its quality and depth throughout the campaign. Its experience and strength across all positions give it an edge, but Sulaibikhat will be determined to challenge the odds after making history by reaching the semifinals for the first time. The team secured its place at the expense of Al-Arabi and will look to build on that achievement by pursuing a place in the final.

The other semifinal between Qadsia and Kazma promises a closely fought contest, with little separating the two sides in terms of technical ability and ambitions. Both teams are eager to remain in contention for the championship, making the encounter difficult to predict and leaving the outcome open.
