KUWAIT CITY, Apr 2: The Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Department conducted an inspection campaign targeting several gold shops, resulting in the issuance of seven enforcement reports for multiple violations. Officials noted that some shops were found selling products at two different prices, while others failed to display a proper price list, including manufacturing costs for gold and other precious items. The necessary legal measures were taken against the violating establishments.
In a separate field operation, the Capital and Hawally Emergency Team carried out inspections across a range of commercial outlets, leading to 83 enforcement reports for various violations. These included the sale of prohibited goods such as chewing tobacco, failure to use Arabic language on invoices, absence of clear exchange and return policies, lack of warranty information for new and refurbished auto parts, and not specifying the type of meat used in food menus.
Additionally, two grocery stores were issued warnings for non-compliance with regulations governing the sale and distribution of energy drinks.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening market oversight and ensuring full compliance with consumer protection laws to safeguard public health and consumer rights.
