Ghuloum clinches Show Jumping Championship title

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 5: Muhammad Ghuloum, the rider from Al-Masayel Club, clinched the prestigious title at the Sahara Resort Equestrian Show Jumping Championship astride his horse, “Artemis.” The championship, hosted at the Sahara Resort in the Subhan region, witnessed enthusiastic participation from riders representing various local clubs.

Ghuloum demonstrated his equestrian prowess by securing the top spot in the fifth round at a height of 110 cm, completing the course in an impressive 53.13 seconds without incurring any penalty points. Additionally, he claimed victory in the fourth round at a height of 100 cm with a remarkable time of 57.81 seconds.

Fay Al-Qaoud, an accomplished horsewoman, excelled in the third round at a height of 90 cm, navigating the course flawlessly without any penalty points. The tournament featured a diverse field of male and female knights in the first and second halves, tackling heights of 70 and 80 cm. Many participants exhibited skillful performances, overcoming barriers with precision. The accolades were presented by Dalal Al-Obaid, the General Director of Equestrianism, in the scenic setting of the desert resort.

Reflecting on the success of the tournament, Al-Obaid stated in a press release at the conclusion of the event, “We organized a tournament at the Sahara Resort dedicated to the junior and beginners category, covering heights from 70 to 110 cm. The event surpassed expectations with a tremendous turnout, and the plan is to host tournaments at even greater heights after the conclusion of international events slated for this February.
