Al-Jendi will soon complete filming new drama
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 10: Artiste Abdullah Ghuloom won the award for best supporting actor for his short feature film ‘The Wheel’ at the Bombay Film Festival, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
This achievement has followed yet another similar award for his film at the Under the Star festival, which was held in Italy.
Ghuloom said: “I feel very happy that appreciation comes from international film festivals. So I dedicate this victory that I am proud of to my beloved supporters everywhere and also to the team of the movie.
“The Wheel” was directed by the young Fahd Al-Shatti and his distinguished team. The film has won four awards – Best Short Film, Best Director, Fahd Al-Shatti; Best Actor in the senior role Hussain Al-Haddad and Best Actor in a supporting role, Abdullah Ghuloom.
Meanwhile,It is noteworthy that Abdullah Farid participated in many drama series during the past years, such as his participation in the series “The Leaning House” and the series “Mona and Vinnie”, and his last appearance on the Ramadan screen in the previous dramatic season was through the series “Conditional Release” by writer Abdel Mohsen Al-Roudhan, directed by Issa Diab.
Farid told the daily talked of his overwhelming happiness when he appears on the small and large television and cinema screens.
Speaking of his participation in a new series with director Khaled Jamal, he said he preferred not to disclose its details in advance, pending an official agreement with the party that produced the series.
He pointed out that his appearance this year will be limited to acting only, and expressed his eagerness to work in the directing are in other works which he hopes will be admired by the public, especially I portray two very different personalities.”
Furthermore, Actress Abeer Al-Jendi will soon complete the filming of a new drama, ‘In the Memory of Shadow’, reports Al-Shahid daily.
Mariam Naser wrote the script for the drama which is directed by Mohamad Kazem while the cast include a big number of stars like Dawood Hussein, Yacoub Abdullah, Shimaa Ali, Mohamad Safar and Ahmad Iraj among others.
Al-Jendi plays the role of a poor wife who suffering from a hard life, indicating the character is new for her.
