Get emergency document online if passport lost

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 31: The Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has launched the service to issue an emergency travel document for Kuwaitis who lost their passports while outside the country through the Sahel application, reports Al-Jarida daily. The ministry explained in an official statement that this procedure is for citizens aged 16 years and above, provided the citizen who lost his or her passport has not been out of the country for more than six months. The ministry said a citizen, who lost his passport, can log in to Sahel application, follow the procedures for obtaining an emergency travel document, print the document and use it to return to the country. According to the ministry, once the emergency travel document is issued, the lost passport is canceled immediately in order to prevent other people from using it.
