KUWAIT CITY, March 14: Member of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry Musab Salem Al-Nisf praised the commercial relations between Kuwait and Germany, stressing that the Chamber is fully prepared to provide all its services to reach positive results between the two countries, reports Al- Qabas daily. Al-Nisf touched on the importance of the role of the private sector in the fields of economic development and the promotion of trade cooperation, by attracting investment projects and establishing successful partnerships between the Kuwaiti and German sides, when the chamber hosted the German delegation which was held in cooperation with the German Embassy in Kuwait headed by Ambassador Hans-Christian Freiherr in the presence of a number of Kuwaiti businessmen.

Al-Nisf indicated that Germany is one of the most important exporting countries to Kuwait, as the volume of imports reached $1.4 billion during 2021, as it is the seventh biggest exporter of goods to Kuwait. Meanwhile, the German ambassador expressed his thanks to the Chamber for the good organization of the meeting, stressing that the number of attendees reflects the interest the Kuwaiti business sector attaches to opening new economic horizons with its German counterpart, especially since Germany has great interests in development projects in Kuwait and is considered a major trading partner. He expressed hope that this meeting would contribute to the consolidation of joint economic relations through the establishment of Kuwaiti-German trade partnerships.

Representatives of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority gave a presentation on the investment climate in Kuwait and the privileges that Authority provides to the foreign investors. On the other hand, German companies made a visual presentations about their services and products in the fields of information technology, security and safety, cybersecurity, firefighting and surveillance systems.
