Al-Otaibi chairs boxing General Assembly meeting.

KUWAIT CITY, June 3: The Ordinary General Assembly of the Kuwait Boxing Federation approved the financial and administrative reports for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, during its meeting held at the federation's headquarters in Sabah Al Salem. Members also endorsed the federation's action plan for the 2026-2027 season and authorized the Board of Directors to appoint an external auditor for the new financial year.

The meeting was chaired by federation president Abdullah Khaled Al-Otaibi and attended by Assistant Secretary Abdullah Al-Dhafiri and Assistant Treasurer Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, along with representatives of the Kuwait, Al-Qurain, Al-Tadamon, Burgan, Al-Sulaibikhat, Al-Jahra, Al-Sahel, and Al-Nasr clubs.

Assembly members reviewed and approved all agenda items after discussing the federation's achievements over the past year, the challenges facing the sport, and future development plans to advance boxing at all levels.

Al-Otaibi emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to support athlete development programs and nurture emerging talent, noting that such initiatives would enhance Kuwaiti boxing's competitiveness and strengthen its presence at Gulf, Arab, and continental competitions.

The General Assembly also reaffirmed its support for the Board's development strategy for the upcoming season, expressing confidence that its implementation would help expand the sport's reach and further strengthen boxing's standing in Kuwait's sporting landscape.
