General Administration for Private Education B wins league title

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17: The B team of the General Administration for Private Education clinched the championship title in the Warba Bank Basketball League for the secondary stage. The league, organized by the Kuwait School Sports and Higher Education Federation, concluded with the B team’s victory over the Al-Ahmadi Educational Zone with a score of 70-58 in the final match held at the Gulf University for Science and Technology hall. The event witnessed the presence of notable figures including Faisal Al-Maqseed, President of the School Union, Dhari Burgess, President of the Kuwait Basketball Federation, and Walid Ayesh, General Director of Physical Education in the Ministry of Education and Vice President of the School Union.

Securing the third-place position, the Mubarak Al-Kabeer District team triumphed over the Hawalli District with a score of 43-37. Talal Al-Khamis from the Al-Ahmadi Educational District received the prestigious Best Player Award in the league.

Hamad Al-Fawzan, Head of the Strategic Planning Group at Warba Bank, commended the high technical level witnessed during the final match. He expressed satisfaction as partners with the Kuwait School Sports Federation and Higher Education, emphasizing the importance of supporting the talents of young players. Al-Fawzan highlighted the significance of providing opportunities for high school students to join clubs and teams. The presence of the President of the Kuwait Basketball Federation on the closing day underscored the keen interest in the Warba Bank Basketball League for the secondary stage. Al-Fawzan concluded by expressing anticipation for the improvement of the league in its second edition through continued collaboration with the school union.
