KUWAIT CITY, March 25: The States of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan jointly condemned the recent Iranian attacks in the region, describing them as a blatant violation of sovereignty, territorial integrity, international law, and the United Nations Charter.

In a joint statement, the countries denounced attacks launched by Iranian-backed armed factions operating from Iraq, noting that such actions breach international conventions and Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026), which demands that Iran immediately cease any aggression against its neighbors, including through proxies.

While emphasizing the importance of maintaining fraternal relations with Iraq, the signatories called on the Iraqi government to take immediate measures to halt attacks by militias and armed groups operating from its territory, warning that continued aggression risks further regional escalation.

The statement reaffirmed the countries’ right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter and their entitlement to take all necessary measures to safeguard sovereignty, security, and stability.

It also condemned sleeper cells loyal to Iran and Hezbollah-linked terrorist organizations that undermine regional security, while commending the armed forces and security services of the region for their vigilance and decisive actions in confronting these threats, safeguarding civilians, and thwarting malicious plots.
