GCC Secretary-General Jassem Al-Budaiwi

RIYADH, Mar 8: The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Mohammed Al‑Budaiwi, strongly condemned the Iranian attacks that targeted vital infrastructure in the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain, describing them as a “heinous act of aggression” that threatens regional security and stability.

Al‑Budaiwi said the attacks reflect an escalating approach by Iran and demonstrate the continuation of its destabilizing policies in the region. He stressed that targeting civilian and vital facilities constitutes a blatant violation of international norms, conventions, and the principles of good neighborliness.

The GCC chief warned that such actions represent a dangerous escalation that could undermine the security of GCC states and disrupt the stability of global energy markets.

Al‑Budaiwi called on the international community to take immediate and firm action to halt these repeated Iranian aggressions and to hold Tehran accountable for actions that endanger regional and global peace.

He reaffirmed the GCC’s full solidarity with Kuwait and Bahrain, expressing support for all measures taken by both countries to protect their security, sovereignty, and vital infrastructure.
