Gates to visit Kuwait on Amir’s invitation

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 1, (KUNA): Bill Gates is due to visit Kuwait next Monday at the invitation of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to participate in a dialogue session with Kuwaiti youth. Gates is one of the founders of Microsoft, the company that revolutionized computer industry.

He is also co-chairing Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which aims at improving quality of life of people in developing countries, in addition to focusing on supporting initiatives to improve global health and education Dr Yusuf Hamad Al- Ibrahim, an Advisor at the Amiri Diwan, said Monday the Diwan would be organizing the dialogue session in which Gates would be engaged in dialogue with Kuwaiti youth over “Youth and International Development.” The dialogue session, due next Monday, was within His Highness the Amir’s patronage of youth activities and the development of their skills, Al-Ibrahim told KUNA. He said the session would inspire the youth over the importance of development and voluntary action. Al-Ibrahim said Kuwaiti youth wishing to participate in the dialogue session could register in this website: www.kafo.gov.kw/invitation.
