NEW DELHI, Jaipur, Dec 5: On Tuesday, unidentified assailants fatally shot Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the president of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, inside his residence in Jaipur. The assailants swiftly fled the scene, and the entire incident was captured on CCTV.

In the recorded footage, two individuals are observed firing multiple shots at Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi and shooting another man positioned at the door. Gogamedi collapses on the floor due to the gunshot injuries.

Despite being promptly taken to a hospital, Gogamedi succumbed to his injuries, while Ajit Singh, present during the incident, sustained serious injuries, according to officials.

Rajasthan Director General of Police (DGP) Umesh Mishra stated, "As per initial reports, four people entered a house where Gogamedi was present and opened fire at him. One of Gogamedi's security personnel and another person were injured in the firing," in an update provided to news agency PTI.

In a Facebook post, gangster Rohit Godara, affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for Gogamedi's murder. The police are actively investigating the incident to unravel the motives and apprehend those involved.
