KUWAIT CITY, May 1: Security authorities in Farwaniya Governorate have arrested a three-member gang accused of carrying out a series of robberies targeting bus passengers across multiple areas, the Ministry of Interior said.

The suspects, all Bangladeshi nationals, were apprehended by the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station following a coordinated operation launched after a complaint was filed by a ticket inspector working for a public transportation company. The inspector reported repeated incidents of passengers being robbed on buses, prompting authorities to initiate surveillance and verification measures.

Security teams monitored the suspects closely and gathered evidence before moving in to make the arrests. Investigations were supported by surveillance camera footage from inside buses, which documented several of the alleged thefts and helped identify those involved.

Upon arrest, authorities recovered KD 333 believed to be proceeds from the robberies. The suspects, along with the seized cash, have been taken into custody and referred to the competent authorities for further legal action.

The Ministry of Interior reiterated its commitment to maintaining public safety through ongoing security campaigns aimed at tracking down offenders. It also urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and report any suspicious activities through the emergency hotline 112.
