KUWAIT CITY, May 14: Board Chairman of Jabriya Cooperative Society Hussein Mahmoud Dashti announced the start of registration for the 11th Jabriya Martyrs Ramadan Futsal Tournament as well as a volleyball tournament which is being held for the first time by the cooperative society.He declared this during a press conference held at the cooperative society’s headquarters.Dashti affirmed that the registration is being done based on the concept of “First Come, First Serve”, stressing that the registration will close immediately after the number of registered teams reaches 32.Regarding the volleyball tournament, Dashti explained that the cooperative society will organize the volleyball tournament for the first time in response to the public demand. The tournament will be held from the second day of the month of Ramadan until the fifth day in the Hall of Fahad Al-Duweiri School.The Futsal tournament is due to start on the sixth day of Ramadan and end on the 14th day. The matches will be played at Muhammad Ismail Al-Ghanim School hall. The tournament will be based on knockout system, whereby there will be four groups, and each team will consist of seven players, three of who should be residents of Jabriya area.The volleyball tournament will also be based on the knockout system, whereby each team will have eight players, two of who should be residents of Jabriya area.
