KUWAIT CITY, April 5: It may be the first time, but it will not be the last, as full salaries will be disbursed this April for all citizens and expatriates without any deduction of loan or other consumer installments, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily also revealed that the April salaries will be paid before the holy month of Ramadan. Informed sources said in exclusive statements to the daily that the government cannot heed calls for withholding salary and disbursing subsistence allowance only. “This is just unofficial talk and the government did not think about it,” sources revealed.

Sources hope that citizens and expatriates will take the highest level of precaution by following the health authorities’ instructions to stay in their houses and not go out unless necessary.

They stressed the need to complete the partial curfew period and refrain from mingling with others after the curfew hours. In terms of postponing retirement installments, sources affirmed the competent authorities are working according to their maximum potential to complete the procedures for passing the law in this regard in order to implement it starting from the current month.

This is to ensure that the government does not abandon the banks which adopted the decision to postpone collection of installments, such that it is not postponed until May. About the date of the Ministries Council’s emergency session, sources confirmed that coordination in this regard is underway. Once the Social Security Bill is in the hands of the council, it will set the date of the session — probably next week.
