KUWAIT CITY, Feb14: The Meteorological Department anticipates scattered rain of varying intensity, from light to moderate, along with thunderstorms in certain areas. Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi, the Director of the Department, informed Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) today that the country is experiencing rainy conditions, particularly in the western regions. These conditions will progressively extend towards the interior regions in the coming hours and persist at varying intervals until noon on Friday.

Al-Qarawi added that the peak of the rainy period is expected tomorrow evening, Thursday, lasting into the early hours of Friday morning. During this time, active winds exceeding 55 kilometers per hour will accompany the rain, causing dust, reducing horizontal visibility, and generating sea waves exceeding 6 feet.

He further explained that a gradual improvement in weather conditions is anticipated from Friday evening onwards. Clouds will decrease, and the likelihood of rain will diminish as a high-pressure system extends over the country. There is also a chance of fog forming in some areas during the night. (KUNA)
