KUWAIT CITY, Sept 12: The opening of the Friday Market has brought smiles on the faces of many visitors, reports Al- Seyassah daily. The market cautiously opened the doors for customers to ensure none of them violated the instructions of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Health particularly wearing of masks and social distancing.

The stall owners said they can hopefully recover the losses they had to bear because of the outbreak of the corona pandemic. Visitor Mousa Al Husseini said, the Friday Market will continue to be the favorite place for Kuwaitis and expatriates alike to buy their needs, especially those low income people since the market satisfies the needs of the people to a large extent with a variety of products.

Another visitor, who did not give his name, noted he had waited all this time to purchase his requirements because the same items are expensive in other places. “At the Friday Market, the items are cheap,” although quality wise it may not be the same but serves the purpose,” he added. Many visitors said they only hope the concerned authorities will not close the market again under some pretext, or following non-compliance with the instructions.
