Fresh Explosions Rock Iran's Bandar Abbas; Blasts Also Reported on Kish, Qeshm Islands

TEHRAN, July 14: A fresh series of explosions was reported Tuesday in and around the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas, according to Iranian state media, as tensions continue to escalate in the region.

State broadcaster IRIB said five explosions were heard in the western part of Bandar Abbas, with the blasts occurring within moments of each other.

Earlier Tuesday, the state-run IRNA news agency reported explosions in Bandar Abbas, while six additional blasts were reported on Kish Island in the Persian Gulf. Separate explosions were also reported on nearby Qeshm Island.

Iranian authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the explosions or reported any casualties or damage. Further details were not immediately available.
