KUWAIT CITY, Aug 30: Customs officers at Kuwait International Airport’s Terminal 4 have foiled an attempt to smuggle 13.154 kilograms of the narcotic substance known as “chemical” into the country.

The suspect, a French national arriving from London on a visit visa, was stopped after customs officers subjected his luggage to a thorough inspection. During the search, officers discovered 1,603 A4-sized sheets of paper saturated with the narcotic substance, with a combined weight of 13.154 kilograms.

The seizure was carried out under the supervision of the Deputy Head of the General Administration of Customs for Customs Ports, Research and Investigation Affairs. Authorities ordered the completion of the seizure report and the necessary legal procedures, with the suspect and confiscated items to be referred to the General Administration for Combating Drugs and Alcohol for further action in accordance with the law.
