KUWAIT CITY, Feb 16: Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait at Burj Alshaya has been awarded the Forbes’ coveted Five-Star Award for both its Hotel and Spa operations, becoming the first and only property in Kuwait to achieve the coveted international accolade.
Launched over 60 years ago, Forbes is the only independent global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas. Based on an assessment of 900 objective standards, Five Star properties are defined as “outstanding, often iconic properties with virtually fl awless service and amazing facilities”. “We are incredibly proud of this accolade and the way in which it places Kuwait firmly on the international map, with a hospitality offering that sits alongside some of the best hotels in the world,” comments General Manager Martin Kipping. “It is also testament to the excellence of our 500-strong team – and their heartfelt commitment to every aspect of the guest experience, deeply rooted in the extraordinary culture and community of Kuwait, something which we all take great delight in sharing with guests from around the globe.
Since opening its doors late 2017, Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait has revolutionised Kuwait City’s hospitality landscape with its outstanding cultural connections and meaningful vision of luxury. Set in the heart of the city centre, with an urban sanctuary style, the Hotel blends cutting-edge design, architecture and interiors with a stellar international collection of contemporary art.
Increasingly gaining renown as a weekend leisure destination for Kuwaiti families, the Hotel has a stunning outdoor infinity pool plus child-friendly activities and amenities overlooking Al Shaheed Park, the city’s largest urban park. In addition, spectacular outdoor spaces throughout the property serve up wide-reaching city and park views alongside global culinary creativity from Milan to Tokyo., architecture by Gensler of San Francisco, and interiors by Yabu Pushelberg of New York.
With a behind-the-scenes dream team as finely curated as the Hotel’s impressive artworks, recent highlights and initiatives include: La Chocolaterie in the stylish Al Soor Lounge, offering French truffles and pralines alongside home-baked pastries and Arabic-inspired nibbles; a mocktail-pairing menu at 21st-floor rooftop hotspot, Sintoho, packed with bold, innovative flavours that complement the restaurant’s pan-Asian cuisine; and a vibrant themed nights at poolside Al Bandar restaurant and lounge.
Commenting on the Spa’s Five- Star Forbes accolade, Director of Spa, Melissa Rodriguez said: “It’s an honour to be the first Spa in Kuwait to attain Forbes Five-Star status and one of only 100 Five-Star Spas in the world. We pride ourselves on delivering the city’s leading wellness experiences, such as our 90-minute Signature Hammam Experience, but are always seeking new waysto extend our wellbeing services, like the soon-to-launch Aqua Spin classes in our indoor pool.” Sustainability innovation is also key to Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait.
