MANAMA, Mar 4: Bahrain's Ministry of Interior announced that the Anti-Cybercrime Directorate at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security has identified and arrested four individuals for misusing social media.

The Ministry said the suspects filmed and circulated videos showing the aftermath of the Iranian attack, including footage from military sites, in a manner that violates Bahraini law. Authorities warned that sharing such content could mislead public opinion, spread fear among citizens and residents, and threaten national security and public order.

Legal proceedings have been initiated against the individuals, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further action.

The Ministry urged the public to rely solely on official sources for information and to refrain from reposting or sharing unverified videos or news, emphasizing that violations could lead to legal accountability and endanger the safety of the country.
