Foul play suspected in bus fires

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 10, Fire broke out in two buses belonging to a private company in Mangaf area, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to a source, when the Control Room of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) received information about the two buses on fire, firefighters rushed to the location and extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported. Since preliminary investigations indicated a foul play, Ahmadi Investigations Department has launched further investigations to arrest the culprit.

Meanwhile, an Asian expatriate sustained injuries and burns when a fire broke out in an apartment on the ground floor of a three-storied building in Hawally area due to explosion of a gas cylinder. According to a press release issued by Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD), when the Control Room of KFSD received information about the fire, firefighters rushed to the location and extinguished the fire after rescuing the Asian expatriate who was trapped inside the apartment and evacuating other tenants of the building.

Paramedics referred the victim to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital for treatment. And, fire engulfed a police vehicle affiliated to Jahra security sector in Al-Naseem area, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to sources, when the Control Room of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) received information about the police vehicle on fire in Al-Naseem area, Jahra firefighters rushed to the location and extinguished the fire. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire
