Formula E 2022 kicks off in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH, Jan 29: The eight edition of the 2022 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship opened with two rounds in At-Turaif district of Al-Dir’iyah town, central Saudi Arabia. The Dutch driver Nyck de Vries, with his Mercedes-EQ team, led the first of the 16 rounds of the championship; his Belgian teammate Stoffel Vandoorne came second.
The British Jake Dennis, with his Avalanche Andretti Formula E team, ranked third. The 1.55-mile race, being held at the 21-turn Diriyah circuit, gathered 22 drivers of 11 teams from various nationalities. (KUNA)
