Force Majeure Hits Qatar's LNG Exports Post-Iran Attack

DOHA, Mar 4: QatarEnergy, the state-owned energy giant and one of the world's top LNG exporters, has declared force majeure on liquefied natural gas shipments following Iranian attacks on its facilities.

Force majeure, a standard contractual clause, relieves companies from liability amid unforeseen events like wars or disasters.

Production Halt

The declaration came on Monday after attacks hit plants in Ras Laffan and Mesaieed industrial cities, halting LNG and related product output.
