Ministry discovers food company's unlawful operations: Expired goods stockpiled and tampered with, sold to eateries as a wholesaler.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 27: In a recent development, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry uncovered illicit activities by a food company, which was found stockpiling expired food items and molasses. Shockingly, the company was also involved in tampering with expiration dates, subsequently reselling these compromised products to restaurants and cafes under the guise of a wholesaler.

The Ministry, alarmed by the company's actions, took decisive measures by seizing and shutting down the establishment situated in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area. Legal procedures have been initiated against the company, with the Ministry emphasizing that such practices "pose a serious threat to the health and safety of consumers."
