KUWAIT CITY, Nov 14: The Criminal Court adjourned to December 5 the sexual harassment lawsuit filed against a lecturer by a student of Kuwait University. Legal sources revealed that the defendant may receive a life sentence if he is proven guilty, as per article 191 of the Penal Code, as he is being accused of sexual harassment against a girl under his authority.
According to the case file, the victim went to a police station in hysterical state and informed securitymen that she went to the suspect’s office in her college in Shadadiya campus in order to ask him for a retest. When she sat down to take the exam, he locked the door and molested her. Before he went further, she managed to escape.
