KUWAIT CITY, Jan 25: Meteorologist Issa Ramadan stated that Kuwait is still affected by a wave of thick fog which is expected to continue until the weekend (Friday and Saturday). The reason for the fog formation is due to Kuwait falling under the influence of part of a fixed air depression accompanied by light fluctuating warm winds from southeast. This helps to raise the humidity and when it collides with cooler air on land and other areas it condenses and fog is formed.

Visibility is poor due to fog in some areas

He also stated on Monday evening until Wednesday there are chances of rain. Meanwhile the Meteorological Department expected weekend weather would be cold during the day between 17-19 deg Cel and very cold in night with temp ranging from 4 - 8 deg Cel

Meanwhile Road users are advised to take extra precaution as fog is causing low visibility in some areas, said the Interior Ministry on Wednesday. The Ministry’s public relations and media department, in a statement, urged the public to call the 112 hotline in case of emergency. (KUNA)
