WASHINGTON, Dec 4, (Agencies): The trend of entertainers being struck by unexpected objects hurled by fans extends beyond the realm of musicians. Florence Pugh found herself in an unfortunate situation when an unidentified object was thrown onto the stage during a Comic-Con event in Brazil on Sunday, where she was posing with her Dune: Part Two co-stars.

The 27-year-old actress, joined by co-stars Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler, Zendaya, and director Denis Villeneuve, was forming a semi-circle in front of an audience when the incident occurred. From the crowd, an object was thrown, hitting Pugh in the face near her eye. Reacting with pain and surprise, Pugh's co-stars appeared bewildered and shocked by the unexpected turn of events.

Footage of the incident quickly circulated online, sparking widespread condemnation of the unknown individual responsible for throwing the object. Fortunately, it seems that Pugh did not suffer serious injuries in the incident.

This unsettling phenomenon of fans striking celebrities in the face while on stage has been making headlines frequently in recent months, particularly among musicians who have experienced everything from bouquets, and bracelets to cellphones being thrown at them during performances.
