Flights Unaffected, Kuwait Airways Maintains Full Operational Readiness

KUWAIT CITY, June 13: Kuwait Airways has confirmed that it is closely monitoring the current regional developments, while emphasizing that all flights are operating normally and on schedule. In an official statement, the airline said its operational departments are functioning at full capacity and are fully prepared to implement alternative plans if necessary, in line with international safety standards.

Meanwhile, several major international airlines have announced flight suspensions and route adjustments in response to heightened tensions following large-scale Israeli strikes on Iran.

Lufthansa was among the first to act, suspending all flights to and from Tehran until further notice. The German carrier also confirmed it will avoid the airspace over Iran, Iraq, and Israel due to security concerns. Emirates Airlines has canceled flights to and from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iran, citing regional instability. Aeroflot, Russia’s national carrier, suspended its Moscow-Tehran service and is making changes to other Middle East routes.

Meanwhile, Qatar Airways halted operations to Iran and Iraq, and KLM has canceled its scheduled flights to Tel Aviv. The widespread cancellations reflect growing aviation concerns as geopolitical tensions escalate in the region.

Jazeera Airways

Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways announced on Friday the temporary suspension of all flights to and from Iran until further notice, citing the evolving situation in the region. In an official statement, the airline said it is closely monitoring developments and will provide travelers with updates every 24 hours as the situation unfolds.

Jazeera Airways has urged customers seeking assistance with rebooking, refunds, or alternative travel arrangements to contact its customer service team. Passengers in Kuwait can call 177, while international travelers can reach the airline at +965 2205 4944.
