Flexible Working Hours Implementation: Report from 7-9 am

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 7: The Minister of Public Works Dr. Amani Buqamaz has issued a decision to set the official working hours at the Ministry of Public Works and the Public Authority for Roads and Transportation during the week from Sunday to Thursday as per flexible working system at a rate of seven working hours per day.

According to the decision, the working hours will begin between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. An employee has the right to report to work at any time during this period, and will clock out after completing seven working hours which is counted from the time he clocked in. An employee will get a grace period of 30 minutes until 9:30am, after which he will be considered late.

An employee who clocked in within the official start period can clock out 30 minutes before the exact clocking out time, although it is not allowed to divide the grace period between the entry and exit timings. Female employees are allowed to leave work 15 minutes before the specified time for the end of the work day, according to the time they punched in, in addition to 30 minutes for the female employee who did not benefit from the grace period at the beginning of the work day.
