Five farmers bring 600 expats, release them to look for jobs

KUWAIT CITY, March 14: The General Department of Residence Investigation has referred to the Public Prosecution five farmers who are charged with ‘human trafficking’, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a security source.

The suspects, on the strength of imaginary farms which appear only on paper, are said to have brought into the country 600 expatriates of different nationalities and left them on the streets to find jobs.

According to the source, personnel from the Investigation Department are said to have arrested the five men.

The case comes as a complement to similar cases that were discovered by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation recently.
