Fisherman sought – Laws broken

KUWAIT CITY, July 10: Police are looking for an unidentified fisherman who is said to have escaped leaving behind his fishing boat, fishing tools and the catch of the day, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, this happened when inspectors from the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources saw the fisherman was in a protected area in Ras Al-Sabia and was fishing in violation of the fishing laws. The inspectors chased the fisherman but he was able to reach the shore and escape.

Meanwhile, police are looking for an unidentified Kuwaiti who has not only insulted and verbally abused a police officer but drove off in total disrespect for the officer and the law, reports A Al-Rai daily. This happened when the suspect was ordered to pull over while driving in Salmiya for violating traffic laws, reckless driving and endangering the lives of motorists and passersby.

When the suspect was ordered to pull over, he obeyed but when the officer wanted to issue him a citation, he lost his temper, insulted the officer and drove off.
