KUWAIT CITY, Mar 7: Kuwait's Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources Director General, Engineer Salim Al-Hay, conducted a field inspection at the fish market auction alongside Kuwaiti Union of Fishers Chairman Abdullah Al-Sarheed. The visit assessed trading activity and supply levels, confirming normal operations despite ongoing regional challenges.
The auction showed reassuring quantities of locally sourced fish, with fishing operations continuing uninterrupted from catch to market unloading. Al-Hay reviewed the sales mechanism firsthand, noting steady supply availability.
The Authority reaffirmed its continuous monitoring of market activity to evaluate supply chains and identify solutions for increased local fish production. These efforts, coordinated with national authorities, strengthen Kuwait's food security system during uncertain times.
