First Deputy PM Visits Dog Attack Victims as Police Launch Negligence Probe

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 26: Two people were injured in separate dog attacks in Kuwait on Saturday, including a Ministry of Agriculture employee who was attacked while performing his duties at the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources headquarters.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef visited the injured employee at Al-Farwaniyah Hospital and checked on his condition. He also checked on a citizen who was attacked by a dog while entering her home and suffered various injuries before being transferred to Al-Amiri Hospital for treatment.

The Ministry of Interior said security authorities responding to the report found that the dog involved belonged to a person. A case of “negligence in guarding an animal and accidental injury” was registered, and legal procedures are underway. The ministry urged the public to exercise caution and call 112 to report stray dogs or any situation threatening public safety, providing the exact location so authorities can respond.
