KUWAIT CITY, Sept 1: Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah visited the General Department of Criminal Evidence to review its workflow, performance and latest technical and technological developments.
The Ministry of Interior’s (MoI) General Department of Public Relations and Security Media stated in a press release on Tuesday that Sheikh Fahad Al- Yousef was briefed by Criminal Evidence Director General Brigadier General Abdulrahim Al-Awadhi on the department’s plans and goals for further development and improving its work. He also watched a presentation on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in criminal investigations, including identity verification and fraud detection, the statement noted. He toured several departments and laboratories, reviewing their work, procedures and specialized technical services, the statement added.
At the end of the visit, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef issued directives to support further development, improve efficiency and the accuracy of results, and strengthen the security system. He was received upon arrival by Head of the Criminal Security Affairs Sector, Brigadier General Fahd Al-Badr, Assistant Director General of the General Department of Criminal Evidence, Brigadier General Mishari Al-Rish, and several department directors and their assistants.
