KUWAIT CITY, Mar 2: First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef affirmed the full readiness of Kuwait’s military and security authorities — including the army, police, National Guard and the General Fire Force — to confront and deter any aggression or hostile act that may threaten the country’s safety and security. His remarks come amid ongoing regional developments and the repercussions of the recent American-Israeli strike on Iran, which have included attacks targeting Kuwait’s airspace and territory.
Al-Yousef stressed that all state institutions and relevant authorities are continuing to perform their duties to ensure the uninterrupted operation of public facilities and the provision of essential services around the clock to meet the needs of citizens and residents.
He called on citizens and expatriates to remain calm and avoid panic, emphasizing that crises are temporary and that national unity and trust in the country’s leadership remain paramount during challenging times.
The minister urged the public to strictly adhere to instructions issued by security authorities and to rely solely on official sources for information. He warned against spreading rumors, false news, or unverified information — including images or data — through social media or any other platforms, stressing that responsible conduct is essential to safeguarding national stability.
Al-Yousef further cautioned that any attempts to intimidate the public or circulate unverified news related to current events will be subject to legal accountability. He underscored that violations of laws and official directives will be dealt with firmly and without delay.
