KUWAIT CITY, Sep 22: The Kuwait National Petroleum Company has reported that firefighting crews are currently handling a fire incident at Unit No. 35 within the Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery. In an official tweet shared on their (X) social media account, the National Petroleum Company stated that the refinery's fire brigade is actively managing the situation which took place on Friday evening. Further updates will be provided as soon as additional information becomes accessible.

Later, the Vice President of Fuel Supply and the official spokesperson for the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, Ghanem Al-Otaibi, reported that the company's firefighting teams effectively extinguished a fire that erupted at 8:37 pm on Friday evening within unit No. 35, situated in the sixth region of the Al-Ahmadi Port refinery.

He emphasized that, thankfully, there were no human casualties resulting from the fire, and the production and export operations within the refinery proceeded without disruption, following their regular schedule.

Al-Otaibi commended the exceptional efforts of the company's firefighters and the dedicated personnel from various refinery teams who efficiently and professionally brought the fire under control in a remarkably short period of time.
