KUWAIT CITY, Nov 4: Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) announced on Monday that firefighters managed to control a fire that broke out in an oil refinery and a number of garages and auto parts stores in Shuwaikh Industrial Area, which resulted in the death of three workers. KFSD’s Department of Public Relations and Media said in a press release that a call was received by the fire-fighting communication center at around 7 am, indicating the fire, which led five fire brigades from different centers to rush to the area. The fire brigades started fighting the fire and managed to control it within the first hour of the fire, which broke out in an industrial plot estimated at an area of approximately 2000 square meters, it added.
