Fire Force shuts down 28 facilities in Shuwaikh Industrial Area

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 10: The Public Fire Force conducted an inspection campaign in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area of the Capital Governorate on Wednesday evening, targeting buildings and facilities that failed to comply with fire safety and prevention requirements.

The campaign was led by Director of Prevention for the Capital Governorate Major General Muhammad Yusuf Ahmad, in cooperation with teams from the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Commerce and the General Environment Authority.

The inspection teams checked facilities for compliance with fire prevention and safety regulations and identified several violations.

The campaign resulted in the administrative closure of 28 facilities and the issuance of closure warnings to others for failing to meet requirements set by the Public Fire Force, as well as requirements imposed by the participating government authorities.

The inspection campaign is part of ongoing efforts by the authorities to ensure that commercial and industrial facilities comply with safety regulations and to address violations that could pose risks to lives and property.
