Fire extinguished at Aramco facility in Saudi Arabia’s Jazan

RIYADH, Aug 9: A fire that broke out early Sunday at a facility at Saudi Aramco’s Jazan refinery in southwestern Saudi Arabia has been extinguished, the Saudi Energy Ministry said.

Aramco’s industrial firefighting teams brought the blaze under control, and no injuries were reported, according to the ministry. Authorities were completing procedures related to the incident, while the cause of the fire and any potential damage have not been disclosed.

The Jazan refinery has a processing capacity of up to 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
