MANAMA, Apr 5: BAPCO Energies in Bahrain has confirmed that an incident occurred earlier today at one of its storage facilities, resulting in a tank fire following what it described as a hostile Iranian drone attack.
According to the official statement, the fire has since been fully extinguished, and the situation is now under control. Authorities said there were no reported injuries.
Emergency response teams acted immediately in coordination with Civil Defence and other relevant authorities to contain the blaze and secure the site. The company added that assessments are currently underway to evaluate the extent of the damage.
Bapco Energies said the safety of employees remains its top priority as investigations and evaluations continue.
