Finland bestows Al-Naqi Order of the White Rose

Ambassador Juha Mustonen, Finland’s Ambassador to Qatar and non-resident Ambassador to Kuwait, confers the Order of the White Rose of Finland (Knight, First Class) on Mohammad Ali Al-Naqi for his outstanding role in advancing Kuwait-Finland political and economic relations

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 27: Finnish President Alexander Stubb awarded Kuwaiti businessman Mohammad Ali Al-Naqi the Order of the White Rose of Finland (Knight, First Class) in recognition of his exceptional contributions to strengthening political and economic relations between Kuwait and Finland, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Ambassador of Finland to Qatar and nonresident Ambassador to Kuwait Juha Mustonen presented the award to Al-Naqi during a reception that the latter hosted at his home in Salwa. A visiting Finnish delegation, members of the Al-Naqi Family and other guests attended the event. Al-Naqi expressed his pride and honor in receiving the award and thanked President Stubb for the gesture. He asserted that the award serves as his motivation to continue solidifying cooperation and friendship between Kuwait and Finland, as well as strengthening ties between the business communities in both nations.

On the other hand, Ambassador Mustonen praised the contributions of Al-Naqi, his unwavering commitment to support Kuwaiti- Finnish relations, and efforts to enhance communication and promote opportunities for cooperation, particularly in the economic and commercial sectors. The visiting Finnish delegation included Undersecretary of State for International Trade at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Finland Jarno Syrjälä, Ambassador Mustonen, Head of the Education Finland Program at the Finnish National Agency for Education Jaakko Skantsi, Deputy Head of Mission at the Finnish Embassy in Qatar Sara Stenros and other embassy representatives. The delegation’s visit to Kuwait aims to improve bilateral communication and cooperation in the economic, commercial and educational sectors.
