‘Finance’ signs direct contract with hotels

KUWAIT CITY, April 21: The Ministry of Finance has started procedures to contract directly with the Messilah Beach Hotel and Resort, Jumeirah, to use the facility as quarantine for Kuwaitis who are being evacuated in phases from abroad after they were stranded because of the outbreak of the coronavirus.

With the induction of ‘Messilah’ the number of hotel ‘quarantines’ in Kuwait has risen to 15. The ministry has also signed a contract with the Kuwait Millennium Hotel and Convention Center and also the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel to be used as quarantine, in addition to the Four Points Sheraton Kuwait and Four Seasons Kuwait hotels.

This comes in addition to its previous contracts signed with 10 hotels and resorts since the start of the crisis until now.

These are the Regency Hotel, Crown Plaza Hotel, Holiday Inn Al Thuraya, Khalifa Tourist Park, Aqua Marine Resort, National Park, Al Kout Beach Hotel, Al Khairan Park and Al Joun Park, and the Seychelles Resort.

In the same context, the Ministry of Finance has started amending some of the contracts including that of the Crowne Plaza Hotels, Holiday Inn Al Thuraya and Al Kout Beach
