KUWAIT CITY, Oct 4, (KUNA): The Cabinet was informed on Tuesday that a project dealing with a residential compound for the expatriate community in Al-Shadadiya area has been assigned to the Ministry of Finance. In its weekly meeting at Bayan Palace, presided over by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Cabinet was notified that necessary procedures will be completed to offer the deal to all companies interested in undertaking the project.
At the onset of the meeting, the Cabinet looked over letters exchanged between His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, concerning the 23rd International Energy Conference slated for Oct 9-13 in Istanbul. Moreover, the Cabinet was informed about His Highness the Amir’s visits to Thailand and Brunei.
Meanwhile, His Highness the Prime Minister briefed the Cabinet on his participation in the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where he represented His Highness the Amir in a speech on Kuwait’s humanitarian efforts all across the globe.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti Cabinet on Tuesday deplored a recent attack by Ansarullah militants against a UAE aid ship in Bab Al-Mandeb Strait off the Yemeni city of Aden. The position was expressed by the Cabinet during its customary meeting held at Bayan Palace today.
The Cabinet , in a press statement, rejected the attack as a terrorist act that contravenes international navigation laws and negatively affects regional and international aiming to send relief aid to Yemeni people. Also, the Kuwaiti Cabinet on Tuesday denounced the recent failed attempt on the Egyptian Assistant Public Prosecutor Zakaria Abdulaziz’s life. The Cabinet said in a press statement following its weekly meeting that the failed assassination attempt aimed at undermining Egypt’s security and stability. In this regard, it reiterated Kuwait’s firm position rejecting such terrorist acts that run counter to all heavenly religions and human values.
