Filipina slits her wrists; Indian in suicide bid

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 28: Police have detained an unidentified Filipina domestic helper for attempting to end her life by slitting her wrists, reports Al-Anba daily. The housemaid has been admitted to the Jahra hospital. According to the sponsor the woman beat his children and tried to kill them and when she failed, she went to the room and closed the door behind her and attempted to end her life. Investigations are continuing.

Indian in suicide bid: A case of suicide attempt has been filed against an Indian who allegedly attempted to end his life in his sponsor’s house and hanging himself with a rope tied to the ceiling fan, reports Al-Rai daily. The sponsor by chance saw the man dangling from a rope and managed to rescue him from certain death and called the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry. The Indian was given first aid and referred to a hospital. He will be interrogated when his health permits that why he wanted to end his life
