Filipina Found Unconscious in Bathroom Dies Days Before Returning to Philippines

KUWAIT CITY, April 10:Tragedy has struck a Filipino family after a Filipina worker in Kuwait died following emergency brain surgery, just days before she was due to return home to the Philippines.

The worker, identified as Glaiza Rozal Amor from Agusan del Norte, was found unconscious inside a bathroom at her workplace. According to her family, she was discovered by a fellow Filipino worker, who immediately called for medical assistance.

She was rushed to the hospital, where doctors performed urgent surgery after detecting bleeding in her brain. Despite efforts to save her, she was later declared brain dead and passed away at around 10:00 p.m., Kuwait time.

Her sudden death has left her family devastated, especially as her employment contract was set to end on April 14 — just days away — and she had been preparing to finally return home.

Family members believe high blood pressure may have contributed to the fatal condition. However, they also raised concerns about the stressful environment she was living in, noting that sounds of explosions and gunfire linked to regional tensions were frequently heard near her workplace. Due to uncertainties surrounding the cause of death, the family chose not to pursue an autopsy.

Now grieving and unprepared for the sudden loss, the family is appealing for financial assistance to cover the costs of repatriating her remains, hoping to bring her home for a final farewell.
