KUWAIT CITY, Jan 14: A physical altercation between a Kuwaiti citizen and an expatriate broke out in one of the governorates, resulting in a suicide attempt by the expatriate and subsequent legal action, according to a security source.

The incident reportedly began as a verbal disagreement between the two men, who were friends, before escalating into a physical confrontation. During the altercation, the Kuwaiti citizen assaulted the expat, causing him severe psychological distress.

As a result of the assault, the expat reportedly suffered a serious mental breakdown, which later led to an attempted suicide. Security personnel intervened promptly, administered first aid, and transferred the injured man to the relevant authorities.

The source confirmed that the case was referred to the police station, where investigations verified both the physical assault and the suicide attempt. Following standard legal procedures, the expat was subsequently referred to the competent authorities for deportation.
