KUWAIT CITY, Oct 30: The fifth edition of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation League kicks off today at 4:00 p.m. at the Kuwait Equestrian Center in Subhan, with riders from all local clubs taking part. Prize money of KD 13,000 will be awarded to the top finishers in today’s competitions. Today’s events feature jumps at 60, 80, 105, 115, 125, and 135 cm, while tomorrow at 4:00 p.m., six more rounds will take place at 70, 90, 110, 120, and 130 cm, concluding with the Grand Prix at 140 cm.
Masoud Hayat, President of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation, praised the progress of Kuwaiti equestrian sports, noting the federation’s successful organization of the league over the past four seasons and its hosting of two- and three-star international competitions under the FEI. He highlighted the noticeable improvement in riders’ technical skills, with many now competing strongly across all heights.
Hayat also expressed his gratitude to the Public Authority for Sports and private sector sponsors for their support of equestrian sports.
Meanwhile, Ghazi Al-Jarwi, Secretary-General of the federation, said the season is packed with both local and international competitions, and the high level of performance among local riders promises a highly competitive and exciting season ahead.
